It is essential for U.S. investments to return to Anaklia urgently! – The leader of "Lelo – Strong Georgia," Mamuka Khazaradze, stated this to journalists.

According to him, the United States seeks access to Central Asia’s raw materials market, which should be achieved through the Anaklia port.

"Yesterday, it was announced that a bipartisan group of senators introduced a bill. They instructed the Secretary of Defense and the Secretary of State to urgently assess all ports worldwide and, based on U.S. national interests, restrict Chinese investments and replace them with American investments.

The day before yesterday, a massive company subject to Chinese regulations decided to sell its ports in Panama to the United States. In this situation, our country's role is becoming geopolitically significant, and it is crucial for U.S. investments to return to Anaklia as soon as possible.

They want access to Central Asia’s raw materials market, and this transit should take place through Georgia, specifically via the Anaklia port. This is a strategically important issue, and I believe that today, the entire focus should be on emphasizing our country’s security, position, and role. The only concrete step toward this will be when American investments return to Anaklia," stated Mamuka Khazaradze.
