The feeling that they will be defeated [the opposition] is, of course, not strange, since they have not won any elections since 2012. In fact, all those political entities that call for confrontation and Ukrainization of Georgia should expect defeat, - the First Vice-Speaker of the Parliament, Gia Volski, said while talking to journalists about the local elections and the opposition's involvement in them.

According to him, for several years now the opposition has entered a regime of sabotage, despite the fact that processes in the world are significantly developing in a direction that "does not suit them."

Of course, they have a certain number of voters who are calling for them to enter parliament. That is why they went to polls and that is why funds were allocated to them from the budget. Their main task is to damage Georgia. I am sure that some political forces will also appear that will get involved in this process, but we must say one thing - we may not like the fact that the full spectrum of the opposition is not represented in parliament, but we must always remember what the alternative is. If you follow this alternative and put early elections on the other side of the scale, it means that you are betraying the country, because the destruction and economic decline that will follow will be irreversible, since the main task is to destroy and destabilize the situation in the country. They are not demanding snap elections on simple terms either - their condition is that the election commission, administration, and court be suspended and that a foreign power be involved in everything, their supporting structure be involved - starting from the European Parliament and ending with specific structures that in reality represent a war party. This is their plan, which cannot be followed by us regardless of whether the opposition is represented in parliament or not,” said Volsky.
