A member of "Georgian Dream" and majority MP, Giorgi Sosiashvili, commented on the statement by the Swedish Ministry of Foreign Affairs, claiming that it was made under the direct instructions of the "deep state."
According to Sosiashvili, "The public highly values the government's efforts to maintain peace. Therefore, they do not pay attention to certain puppet theater performances."
"This is yet another performance of the puppet theater. Sweden and its Foreign Ministry's statement have nothing to do with it. This statement was made under the direct instructions of the 'deep state.' They are simply echoing whatever the 'deep state' dictates in an attempt to open a second front in our country, create unrest, drag the country into this misfortune, and somehow shift the line of fire toward us. However, our people's position remains unwavering and firm. The public deeply appreciates our government's efforts to maintain peace. Despite significant pressure and bullying over all this time, we have managed to preserve peace for our people and ensure that society continues to develop in a stable environment—and this will remain the case. So, we do not pay attention to certain episodes and performances of the puppet theater," Sosiashvili stated.
For reference, the Swedish Ministry of Foreign Affairs published a post marking the 100th day of protests in Georgia, expressing support for the demonstrators.
According to the Swedish Foreign Ministry, the government must take immediate steps to find a way out of thiscrisis.
