The political movement Freedom Square has been established as a party.
A founding congress was held to formalize this decision. Before the congress, attendees were presented with a video highlighting the movement's activities from its inception to its transformation into a political party. Additionally, party members approved the party’s charter and elected members of the audit commission, the chairman, and the National Council.
As the party’s leader, Levan Tsutskiridze, told journalists, the party being formed by Freedom Square will be "a truly modern, democratic political party whose mission is to reclaim the state."
"Our goal is to create a leading political force in Georgia. This will be a true modern, democratic political party. Our next task will be to reclaim the state. We must take back the country that Georgian Dream is stealing from us, and we must do it together. In this struggle, Freedom Square will be one of the leading political parties. After that, we must make the state truly democratic. We need to build a genuine, multiparty democracy—something, unfortunately, we have never done before. Then, a multiparty democratic Georgia must become a member of the European Union. This is how the rule of law, peace, security, and prosperity will be established in this country. In all these efforts, Freedom Square will be a leading political force," Levan Tsutskiridze stated.
It is noteworthy that Freedom Square, as a movement, was previously a member of the Strong Georgia coalition.
