"Your Beatitude,

On behalf of the Georgian Orthodox Church and personally, I express deep sorrow over the recent tragic events in Syria, which have shocked the global community.

We join the widespread protest, express our solidarity with you, and hope that the authorities will not allow such evil to happen again.

At the same time, we kindly ask you to convey our support to your flock, to the families of the deceased and injured children, women, and individual citizens, and to the Syrian people as a whole.

We offer our prayers for the innocent victims and for peace in Syria and the entire world."
