The person who was injured during last night's murder on Chavchavadze Avenue has been discharged from the clinic.
This information was confirmed to "Interpressnews" by the Simon Khechinashvili Clinic.
According to their statement, the injured man received medical treatment for his wounds and was sent home.
As for the incident itself, Levan Jangveladze was shot and killed with a firearm. Surveillance footage from the scene shows a man, whose face was not covered, ambushing Jangveladze, shooting him, and then leaving the scene on foot.
Eyewitnesses reported hearing around ten gunshots. They also noted that two bullets struck the windows of a nearby café.
As a result of the shooting, one person was injured. The wounded man was reportedly accompanying the victim, Jangveladze.
According to available information, Levan Jangveladze was the brother of the so-called "thief-in-law" Merab Jangveladze.
The shooter has not yet been apprehended by law enforcement. Search and investigative operations are ongoing to locate and arrest the suspect.
The Ministry of Internal Affairs informed "Interpressnews" that an investigation is underway under Articles 108 and 236 of the Criminal Code, which pertain to premeditated murder and the illegal acquisition, possession, and carrying of a firearm.
