Davyd Matikashvili: From the Baltic countries that have lost their sovereignty, Georgia faces a brutal, intensified assault, hostile actions – the actions of Gabrielius Landsbergis are also a reflection of this unfortunate mood

In fact, from the Baltic countries that have lost their sovereignty, Georgia faces a kind of brutal, intensified assault, unfriendly, hostile actions – the actions of Gabrielius Landsbergis are a good reflection of this unfortunate mood that is flowing toward us from the Baltics.

This was stated by the Chairman of the Parliamentary Committee on Procedural Issues and Rules, Davit Matikashvili, in response to media reports that "Lithuania's former Foreign Minister Gabrielius Landsbergis will visit Georgia and hold meetings with the opposition."

According to him, there is nothing surprising if Landsbergis joins the radical wing controlled by "Deep State."

"This politician, or 'so-called politician,' was not actively engaged in politics and, under the conditions of status, created some kind of impression of objectivity and fairness. Today, when he no longer holds that status, it gives us the right to doubt the rationality, fairness, loyalty, and goodwill of his actions toward our country. We can directly call his presence at the anti-government rally in Georgia a hostile attitude. This is an attempt to interfere grossly in our country’s affairs. Even today, if he joins the 'Deep State' controlled wing, which is called the radicals, there will be nothing surprising. Just once again, to make it clear to the public, in fact, from the Baltic countries that have lost their sovereignty, Georgia faces a brutal, intensified assault, unfriendly, hostile actions, and the actions of this particular individual are a good reflection of this unfortunate mood coming from the Baltics toward us," said Matikashvili.
