"Fight before it’s too late," "Solidarity with Mzia Amaghlobeli" – with these slogans, journalists are holding a protest near the Batumi City Court, where the substantive hearing of the case of Mzia Amaghlobeli, the founder of the publication "Batumelebi," is scheduled to begin.

According to the protesters, they do not expect a positive outcome from today’s hearing. They claim that journalists are being persecuted in the country.

"The measures taken against Mzia Amaghlobeli are political persecution, she is a political prisoner. We do not have positive expectations from the court. We have gathered to support Mrs. Mzia," said the participants of the protest.

Mzia Amaghlobeli’s hearing is scheduled to take place at 14:00 at the Batumi City Court.
