Landsbergis is a passionate friend of Georgia. He is deeply in love with our country, and of course, his goal is to help the Georgian people and the democratic process currently happening in our state, - said one of the leaders of "Lelo - Strong Georgia," Grigol Gegelia, after the meeting with the representatives of opposition parties and the former Minister of Foreign Affairs of Lithuania, Gabrielius Landsbergis.
According to Gegelia, the meeting focused on the current political situation in the country, sanctions, and coordination between opposition parties.
"We had a fantastic meeting with the former Minister of Foreign Affairs of Lithuania, Gabrielius Landsbergis. He is one of the key politicians across Europe. Landsbergis is a passionate friend of Georgia. He is deeply in love with our country, and of course, his goal is to help the Georgian people and the democratic process currently taking place in our state.
We had a very interesting analytical discussion with him about the current situation and the next steps. Naturally, along with all our friends, we continue to fight for the survival and strengthening of the Georgian state based on national principles. We also discussed sanctions, but that is not the only issue that is typically discussed at such times.
We also covered tactical and strategic matters, including coordination between the parties. We all agree that we need to cooperate on all important issues. We do this particularly well on the foreign stage. The coalition's foreign team is working excellently. This does not mean merging party identities or a single list – we should have a common effort on all major issues," said Gegelia.
