Protests have resumed on Rustaveli Avenue. Citizens, who have been gathering daily for over 3 months near the Parliament building, blocked traffic.
It is noteworthy that the citizens have been gathering for 111 days with an unchanged demand: the appointment of new elections and the release of those detained during the protests.
At the same time, the SEU student movement has been holding a 24-hour continuous protest for the second day in front of the legislative body.
The students decided on the 24-hour protest, which, according to them, will continue until the government resigns.
“We are the SEU student movement, demanding the resignation of the ‘Georgian Dream,’ not new elections. The resignation of the ‘Georgian Dream’ automatically means new elections.
Our plan is to remain in the 24-hour protest, which will certainly grow, and we will become more than Rustaveli Avenue has ever seen,” said Leri Darjania, one of the students from the SEU student movement.
