Former Chairman of the Government of Ajara, member of the National Movement, Levan Varshalomidze has left the isolation facility in Kazakhstan. The above information was confirmed by the National Movement.

As one of the party members, Levan Antadze, told InterpressNews, the legal procedures have not yet been completed and Levan Varshalomidze is still in Kazakhstan.

Information about the detention of Levan Varshalomidze in Kazakhstan was disseminated on March 18. According to the National Movement, he was detained when he was crossing the border at the airport.

As the party stated, according to preliminary information, the matter concerns information sent from the Russian Federation regarding a criminal case related to Levan Varshalomidze's political consulting activities with the Ukrainian authorities.
