Archil Gorduladze: They cannot scare us with these sanctions, they cannot tell us and they cannot oblige us to do what is not in the interest of the Georgian people

They cannot scare us with these sanctions, they cannot tell us and they cannot oblige us to do what is not in the interest of the Georgian people, - Archil Gorduladze, Chairman of the Legal Issues Committee, said regarding the sanctions imposed by Germany.

According to him, "all this comes again and again from the forces that the Trump administration calls the "Deep State" and we call the "Global War Party".

“People talk about sanctions and impose them, but they have not understood one thing, that these sanctions must have their result and, at the same time, must have a deterrent effect. They cannot scare us with these sanctions, they cannot tell us and cannot oblige us to do what is not in the interest of the Georgian people. All this, of course, comes again and again from those forces that the Trump administration calls the “Deep State” and we call the “Global War Party”. When the leaders of our team were talking about the fact that in the future, pressure from Europe, the “Deep State”, would intensify in terms of interference in Georgia’s internal affairs, we see examples of this everywhere. An example of this is the decisions made by the Baltics and Scandinavians. The result is the same - no one cares what decisions they make. It's just that it's a completely outrageous fact when they discuss certain issues without any basis and interfere in the internal affairs of the country. They should stop such actions, because they will receive a worthy response from the Georgian people," Gorduladze said.

For information, Germany has imposed additional entry bans on high-ranking Georgian officials "responsible for crackdown" on the protests.
