Ministry of Internal Affairs: The police seized a large quantity of drugs - Four citizens of Azerbaijan, Turkey, and Romania have been arrested

The employees of the Zugdidi District Division of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Samegrelo-Zemo Svaneti Police Department, as a result of operational activities and investigative actions, arrested four citizens of Azerbaijan, Turkey, and Romania on charges of drug-related crimes. The Ministry of Internal Affairs has released this information.

According to them, the crime carries a penalty of up to 20 years or life imprisonment.

The individuals arrested for the illegal acquisition and possession of particularly large quantities of narcotic substances are: D.A. (born in 1993), A.E. (born in 1994), A.V. (born in 1986), and N.M. (born in 1996).

During the search of the arrested individuals and their vehicles, law enforcement officials seized 54 packages of narcotic substances, including cocaine and methadone, as material evidence.

The investigation is being conducted under Article 260, Part 6, Subparagraph 'a' of the Criminal Code of Georgia, regarding the illegal acquisition and possession of particularly large quantities of narcotic substances.
