One of the leaders of the For the People – Strong Georgia coalition, Ana Dolidze, stated that in 2012–2013, she proposed the idea of establishing a Truth and Reconciliation Commission, which Georgian Dream failed to create at the time.
According to her, all judges responsible for the Khardziani and Leonidze cases have been appointed for life and even promoted.
"The members of an illegitimate parliament have set up some kind of gazebo and claim they want to investigate the crimes of the previous government. No one can outpace me on this issue, and I know for a fact that for years, former political prisoners have been demanding justice. But under Georgian Dream, no one has found justice. Property was not returned—only privileged individuals got theirs back. Not a single prosecutor has been arrested, and every judge responsible for the Khardziani and Leonidze cases has been appointed for life and promoted.
Meanwhile, Tsulukiani comes out and claims she wants to restore justice. In 2012–2013, I proposed the creation of a Truth and Reconciliation Commission, but Georgian Dream refused to establish it. Back then, the Georgian Dream leadership made deals with certain individuals, granting them asylum. They arrested and prosecuted Vano Merabishvili and a few others, but they never punished the judges and prosecutors. Those who were political prisoners were simply released from prison and left to fend for themselves," said Ana Dolidze.
