State Security Service: Representatives of Russia's occupying forces illegally detained two Georgian citizens near the village of Sveri in the occupied territory adjacent to Ergneti and the occupied Tskhinvali region

Representatives of Russia's occupying forces illegally detained two Georgian citizens near the village of Ergneti in the Gori Municipality, on the occupied territory, and near the village of Sveri in the occupied Tskhinvali region.

According to the State Security Service, as soon as information about the illegal detention was received, the "hotline" operated by the European Union Monitoring Mission was activated.

The agency also reported that the information was immediately shared with the co-chairs of the Geneva International Discussions and international partners.

All existing mechanisms have been activated to ensure the immediate release of the detained Georgian citizens.
