"What is happening now is the anatomy of ultimate betrayal," – this is what Strategy Aghmashenebeli leader Giorgi Vashadze said in an interview with Interpressnews regarding the parliamentary sessions of the temporary investigative commission examining the activities of the "United National Movement" government.
According to Vashadze, "Georgian Dream" is obsessed with retaining power and is willing to do anything to achieve it.
"Georgian Dream" is so fixated on holding onto power that they no longer even realize the open, blatant anti-Georgian actions they are committing. In reality, they are leaving us isolated and defenseless, without our partners and friends. When the United States is passing the 'Friendship Act'—offering investments, visa-free travel, and full support—and you reject that, choosing to leave your country alone, you can judge for yourself what that means.
A defenseless, isolated Georgia is a devastated Georgia. That is why we want the European Union and strong allies—so we are not alone, so we can move forward, develop, strengthen our economy, and, most importantly, have democracy and freedom in our country.
What is happening now is the anatomy of ultimate betrayal, and we see day by day what is really going on and who we are dealing with. These people are internally consumed by the desire to retain power and are ready to do anything. Their main goal is: 'Either we stay in power, or everything else can collapse.' That is their approach—they do not care about Georgia," said Giorgi Vashadze.
