Joe Wilson: Georgians are beginning the 125th day of protests against an illegitimate regime—their commitment to freedom has never been stronger

The Co-Chairman of the Helsinki Commission, Congressman Joe Wilson, has responded to the anniversary of Georgia's Independence Restoration Referendum.

"On March 31, 1991, the people of the nation of Georgia decisively chose to restore independence after USSR occupation," Wilson wrote on the social platform X.

According to him, the Georgian people have been holding protests against an illegitimate regime for 125 days.

"As Georgians begin the 125th day of protests against the illegitimate regime, their commitment to freedom has never been stronger," the U.S. Congressman stated.
