Mamuka Khazaradze, the leader of the Lelo - Strong Georgia party, who is accused of "failing to comply with the request of the Temporary Investigative Commission of the Georgian Parliament," was granted a 50,000-GEL bail as a preventive measure.
The decision was made by Tbilisi City Court Judge Arsen Kalatozishvili
According to his decision, the deadline for submitting bail was set at 30 days.
Today's trial discussed the imposition of a preventive measure on Khazaradze. The state prosecution requested the use of a 50,000-GEL bail for the accused, while the defense requested that Khazaradze be released without a preventive measure.
The accused himself was also present at the hearing.
For information, Mamuka Khazaradze was summoned to the session of the Temporary Investigative Commission of the Parliament of Georgia on March 25 for an explanation, where he did not appear.
After the above, Khazaradze gave testimony before a magistrate judge.
Mamuka Khazaradze was charged under Article 349 of the Criminal Code, which refers to "failure to comply with the request of the Temporary Investigative Commission of the Parliament of Georgia." The aforementioned action is punishable by a fine, or imprisonment for a term of up to one year, or deprivation of the right to hold a position or engage in an activity for a term of up to three years.
