Regular flights to be launched between occupied Abkhazia and Russia on May 1

Regular flights between occupied Abkhazia and Russia will begin on May 1. This was announced by the Deputy Head of the Russian Presidential Administration, Sergei Kiriyenko.

“From May 1, full-fledged air traffic will be launched at the Sokhumi airport,” Sergey Kiriyenko said.

According to him, “Russia and Abkhazia are true strategic partners.”

For information, a test flight from Moscow to the occupied Sukhumi airport was carried out by the airline YuVT Aero on February 7.
