Levan Murusidze on British sanctions: What corruption, doesn't anyone richer than me walk around in Georgia?! It's about subjugating the court

[Sanctions] In general, reputationally, of course, it is not pleasant, it is Great Britain after all, - this is how Levan Murusidze, a judge of the Court of Appeal, a member of the High Council of Justice, assesses the sanctions imposed by Great Britain.

As Murusidze states, the sanctions have nothing to do with corruption.

According to him, the goal of the sanctions is to subordinate the judicial system to the political goals that "foreign countries" have.

"Just like the court in Romania annuled the elections, they also need the judicial system in Georgia to be controlled by these forces to make the decisions that their global politics require. It has nothing to do with corruption, naturally. Great Britain has been so upset by Murusidze's corruption? No one richer than me walks in Georgia?!

This is not surprising to me, given that it has nothing to do with corruption, they want the judicial system to be subordinated to them, they want decisions to be made as is necessary for the political goals that foreign countries want to implement in Georgia.

The only thing I have is a payroll card, they won't be able to withhold my salary, after all.

They wanted to show how they treat the judges that don’t obey them.

For me, financially, to tell the truth, it is not a big deal... in general, in terms of reputation, of course, it's not pleasant, it's Great Britain after all," Levan Murusidze stated in a telephone comment given to Formula.
