Nino Dolidze: The CEC adopted amendments by resolution that limit the ability to fully observe the voting process - observers will no longer be able to detect individuals who are trying to vote on behalf of others

Yesterday, the Central Election Commission adopted amendments that limit the possibility of full observation of the vote, - Nino Dolidze, the chairwoman of the International Society for Fair Elections and Democracy, writes on social networks.

As Nino Dolidze notes, any person with the right to be in the polling station is prohibited from demanding to demand from a voter to show an identity document.

“Yesterday, the CEC adopted amendments by resolution that limit the ability to fully observe the voting process. The following is particularly problematic - any person with the right to be present in the polling station is prohibited from requesting the voter’s identity document.

With this amendment, observers will no longer be able to detect individuals who are trying to vote on behalf of others (the so-called “carousel”), which is one of the main methods of election fraud,” writes Nino Dolidze.
