Mikheil Kavelashvili has nominated Sulkhan Tamazashvili for the position of Chairman of the Government of the Autonomous Republic of Adjara.

"Today, I have submitted Sulkhan Tamazashvili's candidacy to the Supreme Council for approval as Chairman of the Government of the Autonomous Republic of Adjara," Kavelashvili stated at the briefing.

Sulkhan Tamazashvili was previously the Director of the Tbilisi Police Department.

For information, today, Tornike Rizhvadze resigned from the post of Chairman of the Government of the Autonomous Republic of Adjara.
