The Supreme Council of Adjara has approved Sulkhan Tamazashvili's candidacy for the position of Prime Minister – the Council also supported his Cabinet of Ministers

The Supreme Council of Adjara has approved the government of the Autonomous Republic with 12 votes.

According to the Supreme Council of Adjara, at an extraordinary plenary session chaired by the Chairman of the Legislative Body, Davit Gabashvili, the candidacy of Sulkhan Tamazashvili as the new Prime Minister of the Autonomous Republic and the candidates for his proposed ministers were all voted on together.

"During the session, attention was given to investment projects and significant planned events in the fields of health, social protection, education, culture, tourism, and agriculture.

Before the vote, the candidates answered the legislators' questions and listened to their opinions and suggestions.

The newly approved Prime Minister, Sulkhan Tamazashvili, thanked the Chairman of the Supreme Council, Davit Gabashvili, and the members of the legislative body for their trust and noted that through active cooperation, they will be able to achieve many good things for the country and the region.

Before the plenary session, committee hearings, Bureau meetings, and a session of the "Georgian Dream" faction were held in the legislative body, where the Prime Ministerial candidate, together with the unchanged Cabinet of Ministers, presented the government program, action plan, and future visions," the report states.
