Parliamentary Temporary Investigative Commission to apply to Prosecutor's Office regarding Nika Gvaramia

The Parliamentary Temporary Investigative Commission investigating the activities of the National Movement government is sending the case of Nika Gvaramia, leader of the Coalition for Change, to the prosecutor's office. As the commission's chairwoman, Tea Tsulukiani, stated at the meeting, the documents will be sent to the prosecutor's office by the end of the day.

The commission unanimously decided to send the case to the prosecutor's office due to Nika Gvaramia's failure to appear before the temporary investigative commission.

"Gvaramia was summoned to the meeting for 10:00, but he did not appear. He has also publicly stated that he did not intend to appear at the commission. I would like to clarify to the members of the commission and the public that the official notification procedure regarding him was carried out in accordance with the law. He himself confirmed that he was absolutely aware that he was to appear before the commission today, April 8, at 10:00, and it is evident that he made a conscious decision not to come to the meeting," Tsulukiani said.
