Eka Gigauri: Civil society representatives will resist the act of persecution against the Georgian people - we are confident that we will win this fight

Civil society representatives will resist the act of persecution against the Georgian people - we are confident that we will win this fight, - this is how Eka Gigauri, Executive Director of Transparency International Georgia, responds to the planned amendments to the Law on Grants.

As Eka Gigauri noted, the Georgian Dream is afraid of the solidarity of the Georgian people.

“This is an act of persecution of the Georgian people. Throughout this period, we have seen how the Georgian Dream was afraid of the solidarity of the Georgian people. They were afraid of people who help each other, they were afraid of people who defend the rights of the detainees. Civil society representatives will resist the act of persecution of the Georgian people. We will continue our activities and do everything so that those people who seek solidarity can see it. We are confident that we will win this fight,” Gigauri noted.

For information, receiving a foreign grant will require the consent of the government or an authorized person designated by the government - receiving a grant issued without consent will be prohibited and will result in liability.
