Some citizens spent the night in front of Parliament

Some citizens spent the night in front of the Georgian Parliament and remain at the site to this moment. Protesters have blocked Rustaveli Avenue.

World-famous opera singer Paata Burchuladze, who stayed overnight with the demonstrators, called on citizens to move to the sidewalk near the April 9 Memorial if police mobilize toward the protesters, noting that police are currently gathering around the Parliament area.

“So far, no resistance — let’s just continue doing our part here,” Burchuladze said.

Protesters are chanting, “Till the end, till the end” and “Georgia!”

At this time, several groups of law enforcement officers are stationed near Kashveti Church and the rear entrance of the Parliament.
