At today’s session of the parliamentary temporary investigative commission, Giorgi Vashadze and Nika Melia have been summoned

At the session of the Georgian Parliament’s temporary investigative commission studying the activities of the "United National Movement," scheduled for April 11, the leader of “Strategy Aghmashenebeli,” Giorgi Vashadze, and the leader of the “Coalition for Change,” Nika Melia, have been summoned.

This was announced by the chairperson of the commission, Tea Tsulukiani.

According to the agenda, in addition to the opposition politicians, those invited to today’s session include Dodo Afrasidze, Soso Robakidze, and Giorgi Afrasidze.

Topics to be discussed at the session are: the state of human rights protection in 2003–2012; internal and external political developments from 2012 to 2024; and violations of the right to life in the cases of Amiran (Buta) Robakidze, as well as Evgeni Afrasidze and members of his family.

Giorgi Vashadze and Nika Melia have been summoned for April 11 — both are aware of it. They have confirmed that they know they are invited to appear before the commission. We have also invited Soso Robakidze, who is the father of Amiran (Buta) Robakidze. In addition, we will hear the well-known Afrasidze case,” said Tsulukiani.
