The Tbilisi Kindergarten Management Agency explains why the directors of 4 kindergartens were dismissed

The Tbilisi Kindergarten Management Agency explains why the directors of four kindergartens were dismissed.

According to the Agency, significant shortcomings were revealed as a result of monitoring. Specifically, the kindergarten managers were unable to fulfill their assigned responsibilities, which in turn harmed the educational process.

"Alongside the organizational changes being implemented in Tbilisi's kindergartens, a comprehensive monitoring process has begun. Its goal is to assess whether the educational and administrative processes in kindergartens meet existing standards and requirements. The comprehensive monitoring covers both administrative and educational aspects. As a result of this monitoring, major shortcomings were identified. The kindergarten director, who represents the Agency’s entrusted person, is responsible for the proper functioning of the kindergarten. The severity of violations found in several kindergartens demonstrated that the managers were unable to fulfill their duties, which, in turn, negatively affected the educational process.

As a result, the directors of four kindergartens and several employees were dismissed; various disciplinary measures were taken against some staff members.

It is worth noting that the monitoring, which ensures compliance with the law and various standards in the educational and administrative processes of Tbilisi kindergartens, is ongoing and will continue," the Agency stated.
