Zurab Japaridze, after being questioned before magistrate judge: There were 5-6 questions, I told him that under no circumstances would I participate in the clownery, and that was the end of it

Zurab Girchi Japaridze, one of the leaders of the Coalition for Change, was questioned before a magistrate judge in the city court.

The case concerns an investigation initiated under Article 349 of the Criminal Code, which refers to “failure to comply with the request of the temporary investigative commission of the Georgian Parliament.”

As Japaridze told the media after the questioning, the main question they asked him was related to his decision not to appear at the commission’s session.

“They asked probably 5-6 questions with which they tried to prove whether I had information that I had been summoned, to which I confirmed that I had been informed, and they still clarified, “Did you receive a message or not?” In the end, when they found out the information, the only question they asked me was why I did not go to that circus. I explained that no one recognizes the results of the October 26 elections that the CEC published and, accordingly, the parliament formed and the government formed.

[We have] a usurper government, imposed by Russians, recognized only by Hamas, Hezbollah, Venezuela, Nicaragua, countries that are satellites of Russians, who do not recognize the territorial integrity of the country, and no civilized country recognizes them.

I told them that I, in principle, stand on the side of the civilized, Western world, freedom, and in no case I would participate in the clownery. That's it, I left," Japaridze said.

Japaridze is expected to be formally charged tomorrow, after which the court will consider imposing a preventive measure on him.
