Davit Matikashvili: At yesterday's session of the investigative commission, we were listening to an agent’s confession – Gakharia, whether indirectly or directly, opened his heart to the public

Yesterday, the public listened to an agent's confession during the session of the temporary investigative commission – Gakharia, practically, whether indirectly or directly, opened his heart to the public. His full exposure took place – this is what the Chairman of the Procedural Issues and Rules Committee, Davit Matikashvili, stated to journalists.

According to him, yesterday Gakharia fully confirmed all the very serious accusations that existed against him.

Matikashvili also said that Gakharia got lost in a labyrinth of lies.

"Yesterday, for many hours, the public was listening to an agent's confession during the session of the temporary investigative commission. He practically opened his heart to the public, whether indirectly or directly. His full exposure occurred – something we’ve been talking about for years, about the actions through which he once betrayed his team, his homeland, embraced and carried out the interests of a foreign power. Instead of acting in accordance with the Constitution of Georgia as a Prime Minister, he did everything to drag the country into disorder and chaos. He made a great effort to avoid direct answers, but in every direction, the mistakes, violations, and crimes in Giorgi Gakharia's actions were confirmed.

Yesterday was a confession from Giorgi Gakharia, during which he fully confirmed all the very serious allegations that existed against him,” Matikashvili stated.
