Mikheil Kavelashvili meets with Ilham Aliyev

As part of his first official visit to Azerbaijan, Mikheil Kavelashvili met with Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev.

According to Mikheil Kavelashvili's press service, Ilham Aliyev hosted Mikheil Kavelashvili at the Zagulba Palace.

“During the face-to-face meeting, the leaders emphasized the importance of the exemplary strategic partnership between the two countries. The conversation touched upon the deepening of bilateral cooperation in various fields, including trade and economic.

The President of Georgia thanked his Azerbaijani counterpart for his support for Georgia’s territorial integrity and sovereignty. The meeting also emphasized the importance of peace and stability in the region. Mikheil Kavelashvili confirmed Georgia’s readiness to continue contributing to the process of promoting dialogue and diplomacy in the South Caucasus in the future.

During the face-to-face meeting, the leaders discussed joint large-scale strategic projects and prospects for further deepening cooperation.
