Grigol Gegelia: Local elections are not an issue that is either topical or relevant today

According to Grigol Gegelia, one of the leaders of the coalition Lelo - Strong Georgia, the discussion about the 2025 local elections is irrelevant today.

According to him, at this stage, there are more important issues on the agenda, such as the appointment of new parliamentary elections and the release of political prisoners.

“Our position is firm and unchanging. This is not an issue that is either topical or relevant today. I think that in April 2025 we have more important issues, which are, first of all, new parliamentary elections and the immediate release of political prisoners. This is the political agenda that we are interested in, around which we are working and actively continue to think in this direction,” Gegelia said.
