On April 17, 2025, at the Biltmore Hotel in Tbilisi, the Georgia-China Regional Cooperation (GCRC) held an official signing ceremony, during which two important memorandums were signed – one with the Ministry of Economy and Sustainable Development of Georgia and the other with the China Chamber of Commerce for Import and Export of Machinery and Electronic Products (CCCME).
The memorandums aim to deepen cooperation between the business sectors of Georgia and China, develop bilateral trade relations, promote joint projects, participate in international exhibitions, and encourage investment. These agreements lay a strong foundation for coordinated collaboration between the public and private sectors of both countries.
As part of the event, a meeting was also held with representatives of the business sector interested in cooperation with China. The meeting followed a Q&A format, where participants exchanged detailed views, expressed their interests, and identified their needs regarding specific projects, partnership models, and financial support.
The Association emphasized its readiness to work individually with each interested company to support the initiation and development of successful cooperation.
GCRC serves as a key platform for establishing partnerships between Georgian and Chinese businesses, implementing innovative projects, and entering new markets. The organization has representative offices in Shanghai, Beijing, and Shandong Province, which provide member organizations with prompt consultations, reliable partner identification, and effective communication.
It is also noteworthy that the Association has already established partnerships with financial institutions – BasisBank and BB Leasing – which support the financial backing and practical implementation of Georgian-Chinese projects.
GCRC Chairman Vakhtang Chakhnashvili stated:
"The signing of these two memorandums – with the Ministry of Economy and Sustainable Development of Georgia and with the China Chamber of Commerce – is an important step toward our goal: to strengthen regional business partnerships. We believe that the synergy of government support, business networks, and financial tools creates an optimal environment for long-term cooperation and mutual success."
The event was attended by representatives from various sectors, including agriculture, manufacturing, construction, trade, industry, healthcare, automotive, and others. The meeting aimed to introduce the Association's activities and strategic directions, emphasize the significance of the signed memorandums, and discuss prospects for future collaboration.
