Protests continue, Rustaveli Avenue blocked

The protest rally has resumed on Rustaveli Avenue.

Citizens gathered near the legislative body blocked the highway.

On the 147th day of continuous protests, the demonstrators' demands remain unchanged - to call new elections and release those detained during the protests.

The protesters have brought banners of various contents and flags of Georgia and the European Union to the site.

A parallel rally is also underway near the Public Broadcaster, from where the protesters will later march to Rustaveli Avenue and join the protest ongoing near the parliament.
