A large number of police have been mobilized near the house of Nanuka Zhorzholiani, the founder of the Nanuka Foundation, where the Prosecutor's Office is conducting a search.
Nanuka Zhorzholiani's supporters, colleagues, and politicians are also present on the scene.
As the leader of the Coalition for Change, Nika Gvaramia, told journalists, the processes currently underway in Georgia are "repressions."
"Georgia is not Belarus" - we should forget this phrase. Georgia is Belarus.
What has been happening in the country since this morning is repression. Everyone is being arrested. In any case, we see that these people who are standing here now have a simple answer from their owners, apparently they were brought from America. We saw their last visit to America. They were told that if you will do have democracy, do not come here again!” Gvaramia said.
Law enforcement officers on the scene are not allowing local residents into Nanuka Zhorzholiani’s residential building. Because of this, there have been several verbal confrontations between law enforcement officers and citizens.
For information, the search of the house of activist Mariam Bajelidze has been completed. Representatives of the Prosecutor’s Office arrived at her house at dawn. In parallel, a search is underway at the house of Aleko Tskitishvili, the head of the Human Rights Center.
