Family members of those detained at the protest held a rally in front of the Public Broadcaster. They are demanding that live airtime be allocated on the Public Broadcaster, including live coverage of the court hearings of the detainees.
“For several months now, the families of the detainees have been demanding live airtime on the Public Broadcaster. This is our legitimate right because the Public Broadcaster is funded by the state budget. Our so-called government claims everything in this country is transparent. If that’s true, then we want to bring our truth to the public as well. We are demanding live airtime. Also, the court proceedings are being conducted in a very comical and staged manner. Therefore, the only television station that has the right to broadcast live is the Public Broadcaster,” said one of the protesters.
