Employees of the Main Division for Combating Illegal Drug Trafficking of the Central Criminal Police Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs have arrested 4 individuals on drug-related charges as a result of operational and investigative actions.
The information was released by the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
The following individuals have been detained for the illegal purchase and possession of large and especially large quantities of narcotic substances, preparation for drug distribution, illegal purchase and possession of psychotropic substances and marijuana, as well as the illegal cultivation of narcotic plants:
N.Ch., born in 2003, previously convicted of drug-related crimes
K.K., born in 1978
G.K., a citizen of the Russian Federation, born in 1981
O.A., a citizen of Jordan, born in 2003
The crimes are punishable by up to 20 years in prison.
As a result of searches of the suspects’ personal belongings and residences, and from locations indicated by them, law enforcement officers seized various types of especially large quantities of narcotic substances, including cocaine, MDMA, lysergic acid (LSD), psychotropic substances, and marijuana. Additionally, a significant amount of cannabis plants was seized from a special greenhouse equipped for cultivation.
The investigation is ongoing under Articles 260, 261, 18-260, 265, and 273^1 of the Criminal Code.
