Batumi City Hall: Roofs of residential buildings, trees and cars were damaged as a result of strong wind – the lives of two injured citizens are not in danger

Batumi City Hall has issued a statement regarding the problems caused by strong winds in Batumi.

According to the agency, roofs of residential buildings, trees and cars were damaged. As for the two citizens injured on Gorgasali Street, Batumi City Hall says that their lives are no longer in danger.

“Problems have arisen in Batumi due to strong winds.

Two citizens injured on Gorgasali Street have been taken to a medical facility and their lives are not in danger.

Electricity has been restored to parts of Batumi. Restoration work is underway in an active mode.

Roofs of residential buildings were damaged. Trees and cars were damaged in several streets and the central park. Relevant municipal services, together with the Emergency Management Service, are monitoring and an immediate response will be provided to each case.

All flights at Batumi International Airport have been fulfilled,” reads the statement.
