According to Nodar Meladze, head of the TV Pirveli news service, the father of Giorgi Shinjikashvili, former First Deputy State Representative of Kvemo Kartli, physically assaulted the channel's journalist Mariam Makasarashvili.
As Meladze wrote on social media, Shinjikashvili’s father also took Makasarashvili’s mobile phone and seized the TV camera.
"Total lawlessness in the country!
An attack on TV Pirveli’s crew — the father of retired Vice-Governor Giorgi Shinjikashvili physically assaulted female journalist Mariam Makasarashvili, took her mobile phone, and seized TV Pirveli’s camera.
The police have not yet arrived at the scene of the crime,” wrote Meladze.
