In Luxembourg, within the framework of the Council of Europe Ministerial, Georgian Foreign Minister Maka Botchorishvili met with Hungarian Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade Péter Szijjártó.
According to the Foreign Ministry, the parties discussed current issues of bilateral strategic relations and fruitful cooperation in various fields.
"Particular attention was paid to the cooperation between the two countries within the framework of trade and economic, energy and Black Sea connectivity. The parties emphasized the importance of the Georgia-Hungary intergovernmental summit, which will be held in Budapest on June 11-12. The meeting once again confirmed Hungary's strong support for Georgia's integration into the European Union. In order to facilitate this process, readiness was expressed to further deepen cooperation with Hungary at both the political and expert levels. The conversation touched upon the challenges in the region and the situation in the occupied territories of Georgia. At the end of the meeting, the parties agreed on coordinated cooperation and strengthening partnership," reads the information.
