Rescuers have found the body of another man in Mtkvari, unrelated to the May 14 traffic accident. It was previously reported that rescuers had also found the body of a girl in Mtkvari as part of a search and rescue operation, identified as Aitaj Mamedova, who went missing in April.
"Firefighters of the Emergency Management Service found the bodies of two passengers of a car that fell into the Mtkvari River during a traffic accident in Tbilisi yesterday. The bodies have already been recovered from the water and all relevant legal procedures are being carried out. The car has also been recovered from the bottom of the Mtkvari River.
The search and rescue operation for one person continues in a continuous mode.
A team of divers, water vehicles and relevant units of the Ministry of Internal Affairs are involved in the rescue operation along with the rescuers.
Upon receiving the incoming message, the rescuers launched a search and rescue operation, as a result of which it was possible to safely remove one person from the water.
During the search and rescue operation, the bodies of a man and a woman were also found, which have been transferred for examination," reads the information.
