The MEGOBARI Act has been passed by Congress, it will definitely be passed by the Senate, and President Trump will sign it, because this is truly an act of friendship that expresses support for the Georgian people and Georgia, said Petre Tsiskarishvili, Secretary General of the Unity National Movement.
According to Tsiskarishvili, the open letters and the resources that Georgian Dream is spending are in vain.
“The self-proclaimed regime thinks that on November 28, when Kobakhidze made a statement regarding the suspension of European integration, the US missed it or did not pay attention to it.
They can continue their partnership with the United States, which in itself is an absurd and unimaginable reality, because Europe, the European Union and the United States are part of a space with common values, therefore, when you stop relations with Europe and no longer want European integration, you also stop relations with the United States. Therefore, whatever open letters there are, whatever resources the Dream spends, everything is in vain, the MEGOBARI Act has been passed by Congress, it will definitely be passed by the Senate, and President Trump will sign it, because this is truly an act of friendship that expresses support for the Georgian people and Georgia, and, of course, those people who hinder development and the strengthening of democracy will be sanctioned,” said Petre Tsiskarishvili.
As stated in the information released by the party, the delegation of the United National Movement continues its official visit to Washington, where party leaders are holding bilateral meetings in Congress and Senate.
