Special Investigation Service to be integrated into Prosecutor General's Office

The Special Investigation Service is being abolished. As InterpressNews was told by the Investigation Service, after its abolition, it will be transferred to the jurisdiction of the Prosecutor General's Office.

"We confirm that the Special Investigation Service will join the Prosecutor General's Office of Georgia. Additional details will be made public after a legislative initiative is submitted to the Bureau of the Parliament of Georgia, which will explain in detail the need for and forms of the changes," the Special Investigation Service told InterpressNews.
