According to the organization, reports of sexual violence and unlawful strip searches by the police against women in Georgia are becoming increasingly frequent.

“As anti-government protests continue across Georgia, reports of sexual violence by police against women and unlawful strip searches are becoming increasingly frequent.

The Georgian authorities must stop violence and intimidation against protesters,” reads the Amnesty International statement.
