The Dutch Ambassador to Georgia, Meline Arakelyan, congratulated the Georgian people on Independence Day in the Georgian language and noted that the Georgian people continue to defend their freedom to this day.

As the diplomat states in a video shared on her X account, the Netherlands is a reliable partner and friend of Georgia.

“On behalf of the Kingdom of the Netherlands, I warmly congratulate the Georgian people on Independence Day. Georgia had to fight many battles and make many sacrifices to gain independence. The Georgian people continue to defend their freedom for themselves and future generations. Since the day Georgia gained independence, the Netherlands has been your reliable partner and friend. We remain supporters of Georgia’s sovereignty and territorial integrity, including through our steadfast participation in the EU Monitoring Mission. We stand with you and will continue to do so. Long live Georgia!” – the ambassador said.
