The new recruits took the military oath

The new recruits took the military oath. The recruits swore the oath in Tbilisi, at Freedom Square, and in five historic locations across the country.

“I, a citizen of Georgia, as I enter military service:

I swear to faithfully fulfill my soldierly duty to Georgia;

I swear to conscientiously study military affairs, and to honorably continue the martial traditions of my ancestors;

I swear to firmly uphold military discipline, as the very foundation of the strength of the state;

I swear to keep entrusted military secrets, to comply with all the requirements of the military regulations and the orders of my commander;

I swear to stand firmly on guard for Georgia and to fight for victory over the enemy until my last breath.

If I break this oath, I will be held accountable before God and my country. May God protect us,” – the recruits declared.

At Freedom Square, a ceremonial event is taking place, dedicated to Georgia’s Independence Day.
