I do not rule out anything, decisions will be made according to the political will of the “clan”, - Giorgi Vashadze, the leader of Strategy Builder, told journalists when answering the question whether he rules out his arrest due to his failure to appear before the temporary investigative commission.
As Vashadze explained, despite the fact that he has offered his property as collateral, he still does not rule out his arrest.
“A circus performance is being held, which is called a trial. Even now you can enter this court and you will see that in every room there are only political cases, the city court has no other cases. We know for sure that there is no content or meaning in all this that is happening, I just came to the trial, the rest we will see after the trial.
I do not rule out anything, decisions will be made according to the political will of the clan. As for me using my property as collateral, I simply postponed my detention for a few months, I understand that very well. We are in the fight, on the front lines of the fight, and accordingly, we intend to win this fight,” Vashadze said.
Giorgi Vashadze was summoned by the temporary investigative commission established in the Parliament of Georgia on April 15, but Vashadze did not appear at the session, after which he was summoned to the prosecutor's office to give testimony.
Giorgi Vashadze was granted a 50,000-GEL bail as a preventive measure in the case of his failure to appear before the temporary investigative commission on April 23.
Giorgi Vashadze was charged under Article 349 of the Criminal Code, which refers to “failure to comply with the request of the temporary investigative commission of the Parliament of Georgia,” punishable by a fine or imprisonment for a term of up to one year, with deprivation of the right to hold a position or engage in an activity for a term of up to three years.
