State Security Service: Giorgi Bolotashvili, illegally detained by Russian occupation forces in the occupied territory near the village of Khurvaleti, is free

According to the State Security Service, Giorgi Bolotashvili, who was illegally detained by Russian occupation forces in the territory adjacent to the village of Khurvaleti in the Gori municipality, is free and is in the territory controlled by the central government.

According to them, in the process of releasing Giorgi Bolotashvili from illegal detention, both the “hotline” mechanism operating with the involvement of the European Union Monitoring Mission (EUMM) in Georgia and all relevant instruments at the disposal of the central government were actively used.

“The central government continues to work actively to release all citizens of Georgia illegally detained in the occupied territories,” reads the information.
