Geostat: In April, Georgia’s economy grew by 7.5%, while in the first four months of 2025, the economy expanded by 8.8%

According to the National Statistics Service of Georgia, preliminary estimates indicate that in April 2025, compared to the same period of the previous year, real Gross Domestic Product (GDP) growth amounted to 7.5%, while the average growth rate for the first four months of 2025 was 8.8%.

This was stated in the information released by Geostat.

“In April 2025, compared to the same period of the previous year, significant contributions to growth were made by the following sectors: information and communication, financial and insurance activities, mining industry, real estate activities, and transport and storage. A declining trend was observed in the construction and manufacturing sectors,” the statement reads.
