Participation of the opposition in local elections means capitulating resistance, normalizing the regime, giving it new breathing space, and postponing change, wrote Tamar Chergoleishvili, leader of the “Federalists” party, on social media.
According to Chergoleishvili, whether the opposition capitulates to “Georgian Dream” depends on “Lelo.”
“If ‘Lelo’ doesn’t participate, neither will Gakharia (I think he won’t dare).
And if no ‘mainstream’ party participates, new parliamentary elections will become inevitable.
It would be splendid if ‘Lelo’ resists the temptation to become the ‘main opposition force’ and doesn’t repeat Saakashvili’s mistakes by chasing the skin of an unkilled bear,” Tamar Chergoleishvili stated.
